When I browse WordPress, I see a lot of us struggling with negative influences in our lives. It’s so difficult to think positively when we’re continuously barraged with b.s. from all angles. I used to think that things would work out like in the movies, but life isn’t the cinema, and if we don’t speak up with open minds, there’s a good chance things won’t work out like we want them to. Don’t go into a conversation like a bull, but you also can’t assume everyone is getting the message that’s in our head. You’d be surprised how many ways our statements can be translated by someone who’s living a different life.

What an awesome video, I hadn’t seen it! Nothing brings a smile to my face faster than awkward dancing! I’ve actually been listening to Sara Bareilles all day– I saw her in concert a couple months ago. So good, and she honestly is brave– she got up in front of everyone and talked about struggling with depression. That takes guts.
Anyways! To answer your question… Hmmm…
I feel like every conversation I’ve ever had with my boyfriend falls under this (I’m evasive, he’s accepting, the rest is history) but… specifically… I remember the first time I opened up and told someone the “real reason” why I had quit my job/life/college to fly off to Asia and go backpacking. Her name was Bryony and she had the bunk above me in a hostel in Luang Prabang, Laos. That conversation changed my life– After that, I couldn’t stop sharing my secrets with strangers. It saved me.
Great post!
